I DON’T HAVE TIME!
I DON’T HAVE TIME
- How many times a day are you saying that?
- How many times a day are you told that by others?
Let’s explore what’s really behind these words.
We know we all have the same amount of time in a day – yet some people really achieve a lot in a day, they read and answer their emails, they check, write and respond in Social Media.
They set up meetings, talk, make decisions and off to the next meeting. They stop for lunch, meet up with clients or colleagues and still manage to finish their day at a reasonable hour to spend time with family.
Others start complaining about ‘not enough time’ from the moment they wake up! No time for breakfast, no time to respond to emails, put that off to later until they simply delete most of them. They have a meeting and feel drained, no decision was made because they felt under pressure to prepare for the next meeting!
I get this version of ‘NO time’ in this context:
I want to write a Book, I know I should write a Book and I’ve even been told to write a Book because I have expertise, I’m told, BUT I have no time! Maybe next year!
Which is exactly the very first step clients in my Write & Publish a Marketing Optimized Book in 6-Weeks or less Program, take. We look first of all at what you want to achieve with your Book – writing it is easy BUT what do you want the Book to do?
When you know what you want to achieve and clearly map it out, for every action you take, every action becomes decisive and easy to take. That means, writing a Book does not take an ‘unknown’ amount of time, because you know exactly what has to be written about, what has to go into the book, and what not!
For example, in my 6-Week Writing & Publishing a Marketing Optimized Book Program, I use a questioning method that draws from the client what information goes into their book. For a Leadership Coach, who is writing a Book on the topic of Managers becoming better, more effective Leaders, I might start with asking the Leadership Coach what the most often asked questions might be, he/she is getting from clients. We use these questions as the foundation for naming the Book Chapters. With Book Chapter Titles in place, the Leadership Coach knows exactly what is to go into a Chapter and what not. He/she only needs to write to what the Chapter is about. That information can then very quickly either, be written, or collated from already existing content the Coach has.
This is just one method I use in my Program and part of why I am able to help clients have their Book written and published in 6-Weeks or less.
Opposite to this, people who always complain about not having enough time, they skip breakfast because they got up too late, took too much time in the bathroom, could not decide on what to wear that day, get to work late and don’t check their emails because there might be some that should be answered immediately.
These people seem to be behind in everything, most, if not all, of their day.
What do these people have in common? Very clearly a lack of vision for their day. When you know what you want to achieve in your day, and you know breakfast is an important part of being healthy, you set an extra alarm to get up on time. You go through a bathroom routine you know takes a certain time. You’ve most probably already put your outfit together the night before, so no searching and decision making is required in the morning.
And here is what this type of person faces in their business:
Due to the lack of clarity they are not outcome driven and miss meeting up with and responding to important client calls, emails, social media comments.
The lack of clarity in their business reflects on the success, or lack of, they achieve in their business.
These are not the type of people my Write & Publish a Marketing Optimized Book in 6-Weeks or less Program, brings back on track in their Business. Not with the Book alone!
I help established Coaches & Consultants to identify the best outcome they can achieve with a Book and where they can increase their Business, even if they don’t have clarity around their Book Topic and Title. We look at what is the best Marketing outcome from their Book.
This might be attracting more or new, warm prospects, that make conversion to client easy.
Or these types of Coaches & Consultants might benefit from a Book, written in a way they are able to put in for dream projects or get their ‘foot-in-the-door’ with a new industry or company, like I did with my first Book. I got 5 Team Management Contracts in my first week after publishing that Book.
We also address time. Writing your book amazingly fast, in just one day, in some cases, using my unique writing formula and framework makes that possible.
So, if you think you want to write a Book and had that thought: it takes time, do I have that time, don’t worry, we ‘fix’ that in my Program!
Simply choose one of the methods below, if interested in writing a Book of this kind, and in this way, and we will chat to see if you’re a good fit; if so, we can, in most cases, get you started right away.
